This letter was written about two months after Mary Ann Fenwick "Minnie", married J.J. White. Jones has offered to send the newlyweds money, but Fenwick is declining the offer as he views it as a loan, and fears he won't be able to pay it back.
Included in this record is some additional/background information written by Elizabeth White around 1950.
