Oral History & Recordings
Our award winning community Oral History recording program shares the stories of people who lived in, worked at, and visited Whitesbog and the Browns Mills, Pemberton and regional Pinelands area. The Trust has been recording Oral Histories since the 1990s with the Voices of Whitesbog project. Today, we are continuously adding to the collection with the project Harvesting Stories. Harvesting Stories is a project to record modern and historical oral histories from our community. The project is made possible with a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities. We are looking to expand oral histories to represent more of the community! Each year we record at least 10 new interviews and host presentations on local history. If you would like to be interviewed, know someone who might or would like to be part of the oral history team working behind the scenes, contact our Archives Team at whitesbogpreservationarchives@gmail.com
