James Fenwick to Andrew Jones - April 27, 1865
Letter
In this letter Fenwick writes of his son Thane, his future plans, and that he doesn't want to be dependent on his father. Fenwick asks if Jones will be willing to give Thane some advice/help.
Apparently, Thane's first job in New York, May of 1864, lasted but a short time, for he has received a diploma from a business college which he had entered the previous fall.
Two years elapse before the next letter.
