Have Fun and Help the Farm

For forty years, festival guests like you have helped us preserve the rich history of our farm and village. What was once a Blueberry Trail Run with a few volunteers selling blueberries and t-shirts blossomed into this popular old-fashioned country festival. By enjoying live music and local vendors, exploring history and the unique ecology of The NJ Pine Barrens, festival guests have played a significant role in raising money for recent renovations and ongoing maintenance.

Why is The Blueberry
Festival Important?

The Blueberry Summer Fest supports programs and staff in the village so we can continue to provide open hours for the public and educational programming. Funds also help support local blueberry farms and nurseries, and each year thousands of dollars are spent right here in our community (Browns Mills and Pemberton, NJ). Plus, the Blueberry Summer Fest is a great way to see the whole village, from our various museums to the heritage blueberry sites.

More About Blueberry Summer Fest 2024

FAQs

Is the property wheelchair/stroller accessible?

There are ramps on the General Store, Cranberry & Blueberry Museum, Barrel Factory and some cottages. The roads are sandy and can be bumpy and depending on the weather, puddles do form. There are handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot, but they can fill up quickly on event days.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, but we ask that you bring well-behaved dogs and keep them on a leash at all times during your visit. Trash must be taken with you, so please plan to pick up after your pet.

What if it rains?

We will move the event to Sunday if Saturday’s forecast indicates moderate to heavy rain. We will post updates on the Facebook event page. Please dress for the weather.

What if the entrance is closed?

We recommend checking the Facebook event page for updates and if the entry is closed, come back another week! As a small historic village, we have only so much capacity for vehicles. If you arrive and the main parking lot is full, you may be directed to alternate parking areas. Some are up to a mile away and sandy, and there will not be shuttle buses this year! If you don’t mind a hike in the sand, this might be an option for you.

Is the festival free?

Yes, as we are not hosting a big single weekend event as in past years, we removed the entry fee. We do appreciate donations as they provide most of the funding to run the Village.

Do Vendors accept cash only?

Some are cash only and some may accept Square, Paypal, Venmo, etc. The General Store accepts credit cards and debit cards through Square. There is no ATM in the Village, so we suggest you stop for cash before you arrive. Browns Mills has several banks, Wawa, CVS, Rite Aid, and convenience stores with ATMs.

Are there activities for children?

YES! Every week will have a different collection of kids activities including arts and crafts, outdoor fun, games for the family, cutouts for photo ops, music, instruments, and more! We will have wagon rides ($5) on several festival days and blueberry picking in the fields ($5).
